In this position you don’t need to have a lot of experience – we will teach you everything. From the beginning you will have the support of a team and a mentor who will show you how the world of transportation works. Do you have experience in forwarding, but feel that operational work is not enough for you? Do you want to have a real impact on the people you work with – to teach them, support them and develop with them? At Ray Trans, we are looking for just you.

As a Team Leader of the Shipping Department, you will not only plan and coordinate shipments, but above all build and lead your team. It’s a role that combines operational and leadership competencies – ideal for someone who is comfortable with management, but still likes to be in touch with the daily “shipping reality.”

Do you have years of experience in international forwarding and team management? Great at both numbers and working with people? Are you able to look at the department as a well-functioning organism, not just a collection of individual positions? At Ray Trans, we are looking for a Shipping Department Manager to build the team and take it to the next level.

This is a position for a true leader – someone who can inspire, coordinate, make decisions and develop people based on their strengths. Someone who is not afraid of challenges and who can build independent, self-reliant teams of specialists.

In this position:

  • You manage the entire shipping department – strategically and operationally.
  • You build new structures and processes – from scratch or develop existing ones.
  • You support Team Leaders and forwarders in their daily work and development.
  • You create development directions for the department – in line with the company’s business objectives.
  • You cooperate with the Board and other departments, having a real impact on the functioning of the company.

We are looking for a person with energy and commitment to acquire new customers – mainly among manufacturers and companies in need of a proven partner in international transportation. We operate throughout Europe, and you can have a real impact on who and where we will work with.

You don’t need to have years behind you in transportation – more important to us are your sales skills, openness to people and willingness to learn about our industry. However, if you already have experience in B2B sales, let alone in the TSL industry – all the better!

What does your role involve?

  • You establish and develop relationships with new customers – mainly manufacturers and companies from various industries in Poland and Europe.
  • You represent Ray Trans in conversations, meetings and presentations – including online.
  • You understand customers’ needs and select solutions tailored to their business.
  • You work with the operations department to ensure the highest level of service.
  • You meet your sales goals in an atmosphere of trust, not pressure.

We conduct an initial interview with selected candidates (by phone with the recruitment department, about 15 minutes) – we want to find out a little more about you, tell you about development opportunities and answer your questions.
